Why am I having to pay a relocation fee?

The certificates generated through the upgrade are not sufficient to cover the cost of a relocation. So, where a relocation is required there will be an out of pocket cost payable by the customer.

Keep in mind that the cost of the unit itself is heavily subsidised by the scheme and the relocation fee is nominal when compared to the cost of the unit itself plus all other accessories that come with the installation. Examples of this may include when the existing hot water system is located inside, on or in the roof of the home or dwelling.
