How can I avoid missing out on an incentive under REPS in 2026?

Incentive claims under the Scheme must be made in the same calendar year the upgrade, installation or connection occurs.

Although the Scheme can run through until December, we anticipate this year’s Non-Priority Group target will be met far earlier than previous REPS years and will not be operational in the later months of the year. Priority Group targets are likely to be available for most of the year.
Please note, this is subject to change at any time.

Every completed upgrade under REPS (i.e. hot water system upgrade, roof insulation installation, or VPP connection) reduces the amount remaining on the annual target.

• Once targets are reached, no further upgrades can be incentivised under the Scheme for the remainder of the year*.

Unfortunately, this means that, depending on the timing of the activity each year, some consumers miss out. In order to avoid missing out, Ecovantage will communicate the progress of both Priority and Non-Priority targets with all of its partners well in advance.

• If you are considering an upgrade, installation or connection under the Scheme, please reach out to your installation company or energy retailer/operator at your earliest convenience.

Once the targets are exhausted, the only way to access a REPS incentive is to delay undertaking an upgrade until the next year’s targets are set (routinely between January and March).
Please note that the incentive amount is subject to change each year.

*The upgrade can still go ahead, however no incentives under REPS will be available.
